Celtics' Robert Williams out Friday versus Miami because of right knee tendinopathy

 




The Celtics will be without essentially every one of their starters Friday in what Boston mentor Ime Udoka trusted would be a last check up in front of the normal season. The C's face the Hotness at 6:30 p.m. Friday in Miami to wrap up the preseason in front of the period opener. 


Robert Williams III was a late expansion to the injury report not exactly an hour prior clue, assigned out in view of right knee tendinopathy. 


The beginning folks we know are out there, we'll incline them up somewhat more," Udoka said. "But at the same time we're being mindful of the folks missing: Al, Marcus this evening and Jaylen. We would prefer not to over-burden them as folks have been absent in the preseason up until now." 


Reports: Celtics suspend G Marcus Savvy for preseason finale 


The Boston Celtics have apparently suspended gatekeeper Marcus Keen for Friday's preseason finale at Miami because of a break of group rules. 


ESPN revealed Thursday that Keen missed the group trip to Orlando. He didn't play in Wednesday night's 103-102 misfortune to the Sorcery. 


The Boston Messenger cited lead trainer Ime Udoka as saying Shrewd is "repentant." 


Keen, 27, arrived at the midpoint of 13.1 focuses, 5.7 helps, 3.5 bounce back and 1.5 takes in 48 games (45 beginnings) for the Celtics in 2020-21. 


He claims vocation midpoints of 10.2 focuses, 4.2 helps and 3.6 sheets in 449 games (228 beginnings) since Boston drafted him with the No. 6 by and large pick in 2014. 


The Celtics open the standard season on Oct. 20 out and about against the New York Knicks.
