Miley Cyrus and Elon Musk Joke About Launching to Moon Together

Miley and The Kid will drop their cover of his song "Without You" on Friday

Impending Saturday Night Live melodic visitor and host Miley Cyrus and Elon Musk kidded about launching to the moon together in a progression of tweets on Wednesday (Apr. 28). The far-fetched couple, who will visit Studio 8H on May 8, occupied with a to and fro started off when a fan posted an image of Musk in Miley gear

riding a destroying ball with subtitle, "Okay Elon just... listen to me," apparently recommending a collab between the Tesla/Space X chief and the artist.

Musk appeared amused, responding, "Might be something there haha." So, of course, Miley had to take it a step further, responding with a rocketship, moon and Saturn emoji and the message, "@elonmusk I'm down if you are! #MileyAndMusk to the moon!" Billionaire Musk is making his hosting debut, while SNL vet Cyrus is returning just over a year after her surprise April 2020 performance during the second at-home pandemic episode, where she performed a cover of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here."

While it's unknown if we'll get a MuskCyrus mash-up, Miley confirmed that she's bringing her duet pal The Kid LAROI along for her SNL appearance. "Live from New York with little bro.... @thekidlaroi @nbcsnl," she tweeted on Wednesday night alongside an image of the two chilling on one of Cyrus' road cases.
